Dear all,
Please work out the questions.
1. The table below shows the parking rates charged at a carpark.
First Hour $3
Every hour thereafter or part thereof $1.50 per hour
If Mr Lee parked his car in this carprk from 2.45pm to 4pm, how much did he pay for the parking fee?
2. Juliana had a total of 75 pears and apples. She sold 10 pears and 15 apples. In the end, she had an equal number of pears and apples left. How many pears did Juliana have at first?
Cheers,
Mrs Mak

ReplyDelete3.00 1.50
2.45p.m|------------|----------------|4p.m
3.45
3.00 + 1.50 = 4.50
He needs to pay $4.50.
-------------------------------------------------
2) Pears
Apples = 75
75 - 10 = 65 - 15 - 50
50 / 2 = 25
10+15 = 25 = 75 altogether
25
------------------------------------------------
25 + 10 = 35 , juliana had 35 pears at first.
